Mecca Masjid,the largest mosque in Hyderabad, which can accomodate more than 1000 ppl at a time. A structure which is around 600 years old bounds to have a story of it's own , nd mecca masjid is no exception , as it is to be believed tht wen this masjid was being built it just wldnt stand nd kept falling off until one pious preist suggested to add a brick frm the holy Mecca to the structure, but it had a condition tht it shld be laid only by a man who has never missed his prayers his whole lifetime, thus a brick was brought and the then emperor Aurangzeib was asked to lay the rock as he is believed to have never missed a namaz prayer in his whole lifetime.Thus , the name Mecca Masjid.
In the second image u can see the circled image of the only brick which was brought frm Mecca and layed by Aurangzeib.
It is also believed tht if u throw a cloth on tht brick ,it starts smelling like roses.!!
In the thrd image u can see a old pendulum wall clock , the pendulum wich can be seen is made of pure solid gold and the clock is 300 years old. Thr's a story tht around 200yrs ago a theif tried to steal this clock and while he was runing a sword came fling from the sky nd chopped is head away frm his body nd tht head flew nd hit the walls of the masjid... on the south =east corner xactly 26 brick above ground one can still see the imprints of a face of the brick(fourth image)
In the fiftt image u can see the interiors of the masjid and the circled is the original piece frm the door of the kaaba e shareef..!!
Next: the story of a stucture which was once a very successfull hospital in Hyderabad. But mysteriously has been abandoned since past 9 years..!!
There is also another mystery with this mosque. It was believed that whoever completed construction of this mosque would loose power soon. So all kutubshahi kings postponed completion of the mosque. Finally Aurangzeb completed it in 1694 and he died soon in 1707 and with him the power of great grand Mughals was lost. .. Dr K Prabhakar Rao
